GMS Enrichment Class Starts School Newspaper

Buff Stuff staff members Jack Pharaoh, Cooper Nelson, and Dakoby Bentley work on their first stories for the newspaper.

Have you heard the news?  The Greybull Middle School has a newspaper!

The GMS “Buff Stuff” Newspaper was started the second semester by the students of the Tech Enrichment Class who were brainstorming ways to use their enrichment time.

The news team consists of Perla Rodriguez, Cord Edeler, Jack Pharaoh, Carter Jacobs, Madison Winters, Cooper Nelson, and Dakoby Bentley. The team hopes to inform and entertain their audiences including the student body and staff.  The newspaper plans to cover sports stories, upcoming events and activities, teacher features, student spotlights, and more.

The class was already responsible for creating the content of the school boards found in the middle school commons areas.  It seemed like a natural extension of the class to take the next step of publishing a newspaper.

“I am shocked that nobody else has thought of the idea to create a newspaper for the school,” said Jacobs.
